​My name is SUN Yuan (Sunny) and I am a multimedia journalist skilled at writing, photography, video editing, podcast, and social media.

​

I am currently an International journalism student from Hong Kong Baptist University. I am also a student reporter for The Young Reporter, an English publication based in Hong Kong Baptist University.

​

I have covered Hong Kong Policy Address and Budget Plan for The Young Reporter , legal rights of immigrant workers for Global News Relay, and animal protection in Rwanda. In the meantime, I have done a sound story for RTHK Saturday Squad, shot and edited video for Operation Santa Claus launching ceremony.

Aside from acting as a student reporter in school, I have accumulated rich experience from an off-campus media internship. From new media operations at Tsinghua Tongfang, to digital assistant at billboard radio china, to podcast intern at Caixin Global, I have been applying my knowledge of media and communication from my classes to gradually gain a better understanding of the field.

I am curious about different cultures and have been to 14 countries so far. I enjoy knowing about an industry or culture in the way of talking to people  and reporting them!
